We started in 2003, originally known as EzRemit Limited, giving our customers the opportunity to send more of their hard earned money overseas by delivering great rates on foreign currency exchange.
In 2008, BFC Exchange became part of BFC Group Holdings W.L.L after Bank Alkhair, the Islamic Financial Services Group bought a controlling stake in several companies, these include; Bahrain Financing Company (BFC) in Bahrain and Bahrain Exchange Company (BEC) in Kuwait.
Since then, due to great success, BFC Group has grown its retail operations even further, opening up BFC Forex & Financial Services PVT Ltd (BFC Forex) in India and BFC Exchange Malaysia Sdn.Bhd. (BFC Exchange) in Malaysia.
In October 2016, BFC Bank received authorisation by the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK for a banking licence.
In 2018, BFC Bank becomes fully operational.
